I understand how you feel in the middle of the night. The terror and shame, the fear that you are worthless and unlovable. Knowing your children deserve better. I understand. The image you portray to others. How you are everyone’s rock or doormat at times. One smile from you can light up the stars, your smile... it speaks volumes of the pain hidden behind it. ​In the morning you go and erase all the proof, proof that you should be living a different life. The shattered glass, the broken doors the holes in the walls. Your favorite thing broken in two. Your clothes stretched and tattered. Your skin so tender and bruised. It hurts to walk and you would rather lay sobbing in bed but you have to still make breakfast for the kids. You still have to be you. The phone always so close but no one on earth you can tell.I understand....this was me.It's time to stop buying into a life pushed upon you. It’s time to see yourself no longer as a broken child but as a towering lioness. It’s time the sound of your feet alarmed those in your presence. You are not worthless, you are not weak. You are power - You are a “Warrior”. You are not alone. You have me.
